According to lore from the Feri tradition of Witchcraft, the Gray Dove symbolizes the Goddess. She represents peace, female sexuality, and freedom. In this aspect She is also the patroness of all-male covens, and in this capacity an image of Her is placed upon the altar. The 'Sacred Dove' is a term that represents the God(dess) within each of us, and reflects the clitorophalic presence of God Herself.
