This is my rendition of Shining Flame, the Southern Guardian of the Feri tradition, Lord of Fire. Using traditional iconography this image includes a sword, forged from blue fire, and tipped with the sigil of Fire.

I wondered what would happen if the deities of the world finally tired of the dogma and fundamentalism that often plague their religions, and decided to up and join the circus. I envisioned a troupe I call 'Cirque Divine.' Ganesh is my first performer. I thought that his iconography fit well. His umbrella seemed suited for a highwire act. His faithful rat, upon which he normally rides, is here nonetheless helping him on his path by holding the frayed rope together. Instead of a lotus I have substituted cotton-candy. |

The Devil makes me happy. He of course has multiple aspects, being wicked, sexual, an outcast and sometimes a trickster, and I enjoy each guise. The devils face has often appeared on everything from consumer products to sports teams, inspiring me to make a face of my own. I chose the background because it seemed fittingly lowbrow. |
