Poor little Stigmata Millie just can’t keep her Christlike wounds from weeping. She knew in her heart that she was a wicked little girl, and so she prayed and prayed and prayed until she identified with her Lord's passion sooo much that now she bleeds in sympathy. Maybe the demons have left her now (then again, maybe they haven’t). Where once there was faith, now there are only holes.

Not quite a doll, and not exactly a puppet, this piece works best as sculpture. The inverted cross beneath which she hangs has a hole in its back, allowing it to easily be hung upon a wall, perhaps above a child’s crib or wherever your old, less unique crucifixes stagnate. Millie herself is made from several materials. The cross is wood. Her face, hands and feet all have their genesis as digital graphics, which then were printed, laminated, roughed, adhered to foam core board, cut and sanded into appropriate shapes, and lastly, varnished. Her body and arms are fabric, and her hair is made from a wispy yarn that simulates unruly hair. The piece measures 22" tall by 8" across.

This is the first creation of its kind to come from Carnivalia Studios. There is a long tradition in puppetry of making ministry puppets, used as evangelical tools to teach children how to fear God. Someday soon Stigmata Millie will have some sidekicks to help tell her tell of the Lord’s wrath, but for now she is alone, waiting for someone such as yourself to bring her into your heart and home.
